tenChicago’s illustrious SaveMoney Collective recorded a new unreleased project, Wok n Roll, to spotlight one of its founding members – Brian Fresco. In April, as a ploy to test the tracks’ “hit” potential, we partnered with one of the music industry’s most respected and popular streaming platforms, SoundCloud, to release two tracks exclusively on their platform. Not only did the tracks perform well, but to our surprise, both songs, ‘New Balencis’ & ‘Bad 4 You’ debuted at #16 on Soundcloud’s Top 50 Chart (All Genres) and Bad 4 You, ultimately rising as high as #3 on Soundcloud’s Top 50 Chart (All Genres). Since then, the two singles have garnered over ten million streams to date and counting.

The recent Sound Cloud success is a strong indicator that we have two “hits” on our hands, with Bad 4 You a potential international crossover smash! Thanks to SoundCloud, we successfully managed to establish the tracks’ success trajectory and earning potential. 

The Same Money Collective, a small group of childhood friends, that made Music the source of its notoriety, through industry vets like Vic Mensa, Joey Purp, Chance the Rapper, Brian Fresco, Towkio, KAMI, Taylor Bennett, etc. Save Money, however, internally is not considered a Music collective. Instead – these Chi-Town natives look to Save Money as a bond and brother hood, made up by a small group of southside Chicago natives, who grew up together and share the love for the Art of Music.

Each individual member of SaveMoney has their own strengths and skill set that they are broadly known for, in which consists of videographers, social activists, filmmakers, producers, journalists, athletes, etc. This brotherhood led to the two leading members of the Chicago based Team, gracing the 2014 XXL Freshman 10 cover together! And since 2015, Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa have only gotten more prominent and more substantial and more connected and influential, and consequently, so has SaveMoney. Fortunately, yesterday’s and today’s SaveMoney are all here and aggressively dedicated to furthering its success.
